Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani as well as a Peruvian Muay Thai fighter as well as mixed martial artist currently competing in the flyweight division of the UFC. She's older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started out with her debut as an Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title before being defeated by Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in 2011 and the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay thai world champion. Antonia began her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. She has taken home numerous titles including the K-1 World Championships, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships as well as the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was by a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko broke her first professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She won via second-round TKO followed by two more bouts at the WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a hiatus to concentrate on boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. The promotion ended in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko faced Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's striking skills were superior and allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Following this victory Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina was offered an UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko won the fight with a unanimous decision. She lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 over her next three bouts she won over Ariane Lipski, while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina suffered a loss to Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO in the second round of UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
